The New Lexington Swimming Pool will be opening for the 2020 season.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Council has appointed a special subcommittee to work out the details of how to operate the pool while obeying Governor DeWine's orders to ensure the safety of our patrons. Updates, including an opening date, will be posted as they become available. Thank you for your understanding!

 

THE VILLAGE OF NEW LEXINGTON IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A POOL MANAGER AND LIFEGUARDS FOR THE 2020 POOL SEASON. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED AT THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATION OFFICE, 215 S MAIN ST, NEW LEXINGTON. ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 2PM ON 6/1/2020 FOR CONSIDERATION. THE VILLAGE IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.

UPDATE 5/11/20: With the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Village of New Lexington is taking measures to ensure the safety of our employees while maintaining the highest level of service possible. The Water, Income Tax, Administration and Finance offices are now open for face-to-face communication. The Municipal Building lobby is open from 8AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday. For our customers that prefer contactless service, tax returns, water or tax payments and correspondence can be placed in the drive-up drop box located on MacGahan Avenue (formerly Town Hall Ave), in the Municipal Building lobby drop box, or by mail. Water customers may also utilize our online payment option for a minimal fee. This service is available by clicking the "Pay Water Bills Online" button below.

 

 

The New Lexington Water Office is now accepting payments online, by phone or by text. To make a payment online, please click the "Pay Water Bills Online" button above. To pay by phone, please call (844) 778-1891 and follow the prompts. To pay by text, please click the "Pay Water Bills Online" button above to enroll.

This is a fee based service. For all utility transactions there will be a $2.95 fee for credit cards and an additional $0.95 fee for payments made by phone.

 

THE VILLAGE OF NEW LEXINGTON IS PLANNING TO HAVE A FIREWORKS DISPLAY ON SATURDAY, JULY 4, 2020. WE ARE STILL WORKING OUT THE DETAILS TO ENSURE WE ARE FOLLOWING DIRECTIVES FROM GOVERNOR DEWINE'S OFFICE. UPDATES WILL BE POSTED AS THEY BECOME AVAILABLE.

 

THE NEW LEXINGTON FALL FESTIVAL COMMITTEE IS CURRENTLY STILL PLANNING TO HOLD THE FALL FESTIVAL ON SEPTEMBER 19, 2020. AS WE ALL KNOW, THIS CAN CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND PLAN TO ATTEND. WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT AND HOPE THAT YOU STAY SAFE DURING THESE TRYING TIMES. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES WHICH WILL BE POSTED AS THEY DEVELOP.

The Hometown Hero Banner Project has been suspended until Spring 2021 due to the Streetscape Project on Main Street in New Lexington. No new banners will be produced until that time. Applications may be picked up at the Administration Office, but payments and applications will not be accepted until Spring 2021. Banners that were previously displayed on Main Street will be moved to West Brown Street and Swigart Street so that we can continue to honor our Veterans. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

 

The Village of New Lexington Tree Commission is currently seeking members of the public to serve on the commission. Tree Commission members serve on a voluntary basis and without compensation. PER VILLAGE CODIFIED ORDINANCE 953-07:
TRASH CONTAINERS SHALL BE PLACED AT THE CURB OR EDGE OF PAVED ROADWAY NO SOONER THAN 12 HOURS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE COLLECTION PERIOD AND SHALL NOT REMAIN MORE THAN 12 HOURS FOLLOWING THE COLLECTION PERIOD.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR TRASH CONTAINERS ARE REMOVED PROMPTLY TO AVOID ROAD HAZARDS AND POSSIBLE CITATION.
