BOIL ADVISORY - PRECAUTIONARY

Due to a water main break the New Lexington Water Department is advising Water Customers on Panther Dr. And State Route 345 North of Panther Drive that until further notice, vigorously boil, for at least one minute, any water used for drinking (including water used to make ice), cooking or oral hygiene."
The New Lexington water system has no evidence at this time that the water system is contaminated. The possibility does exist however that the water system is contaminated and is issuing this advisory as a precaution.
The water department is making repairs and collecting additional samples and hopes to have this problem corrected soon. An additional notice will be given when the boil advisory is lifted. For further information contact the Village of New Lexington at (740) 342-1633.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF INTENT
TO FILE AN APPLICATION
The Village of New Lexington hereby gives notice of its intent to file an application for financial assistance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development for construction of sewer treatment facilities. This notice is published in accordance with Rural Development regulations contained in RUS Instruction 1780.19(a). The proposed project involves the construction and improvements of the Wastewater Treatment Plant to serve the Village.

TEMPORARY CHANGE IN OFFICE HOURS

State Route 13 Restrictions to Begin Monday, June 13th
Beginning Monday, June 13th State Route 13/North Main Street will be restricted in New Lexington between Union and Factory Street for a bridge repair. Traffic will be maintained with a temporary signal. Drivers should use caution and expect delays. The project is expected to be completed November 15, 2016.
